Grief and Loss
Grief is a normal part of the healing process following a loss. However, knowing it is a natural process doesn’t make experiencing it any easier. Especially when it feels like those around you don’t understand or feel the loss with the same intensity. The broken heartedness of grief can make it challenging to get through your days, potentially affecting relationships, work, school, and other responsibilities while diminishing the joy in everyday things. Grief presents through denial, anger, bargaining, isolation, depression, regret, and hopelessness; it may feel like the sun has gone out of your world. Learning to embrace your strong emotions and give yourself compassion can bring balance to your life after the death of your loved one.
