About Me
Hi, I’m Shancy, a licensed therapist with experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I earned my bachelor’s from UNLV in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with my focus on Sociology, Psychology, and Women’s Studies. I received my Master of Social Work from UNR in 2022 before moving to St. Pete to complete my clinical hours at a local nonprofit. I finished all of my degrees, practicum hours, and clinical hours while being a flight attendant. I have since traded my wings for a cardigan and love my career of empowering others. I also run a local women’s group called St. Pete Girls Who Walk that keeps me active in the community through connecting women to each other in safe, healthy ways and supporting local businesses. Outside of that I love reading, stand-up comedy, trashy reality TV, swimming in the Gulf, and visiting museums and galleries.
